About the Centre
The Glenurquhart centre is a community owned charity run by the Glenurquhart Care Project. The Centre provides day care to residents in Drumnadrochit, Glenurquhart, Kiltarlity, Kirkhill, Beauly, Strathglass and Abriachan. The Centre is currently open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
We have our own kitchen, providing home cooked lunches and home baking each day. Facilities include a greenhouse, minibus, centre, car, laundry, showers and allocated room for visiting services such as Physiotherapy, Optician, Community Nurses and G.P.’s. We arrange daily activities for our Service Users, these can include games, crafts, live music and entertainment as well as outings.
The centre can also assist people to access services such as advocacy, care at home, occupational health, Telecare, housing and advice or assistance to claim statutory benefits.
Our work is supported through the Friends of the Glenurquhart Centre fundraising group. They hold a monthly coffee morning 10am to 11.30am on the second Saturday of each month at the centre.
